Hi, my name Kimberly and I am on a journey and I most likely will always be on one.  The most powerful road we travel on is our own.  These life paths do not go in a straight line but rather a winding pursuit that goes backwards, forwards and in a circle.  I have traveled many roads and now I would like to travel with you on your beautiful path.

Why Me?

I was born in Sioux Falls sixty one years ago. As a child, I dreamed of exploring the world and its cultures.  I married right out of high school and I had two wonderful kiddos.  I was a stay home mom and went to college when my daughter entered middle school and we graduated together, her from high school and myself, from college.

I have a Bachelors of Business degree from the University of Sioux Falls, a Masters of Divinity from Sioux Falls Seminary and a Doctoral of Ministry from Bakke Graduate school in Seattle, Washington in Leadership for the Global City.  I am trained chaplain and ordained pastor (American Baptist Churches, USA) working for years in a traditional church context, non-profits and in many diverse environments.  Including, doing cultural immersions in Los Angeles, working with anti-human trafficking organizations in Thailand and Kenya. Later, coming home and implementing a new non-profit in South Dakota to combat human trafficking in the state, Called to Freedom and working as a Chaplain at the South Dakota Women's Prison. My last two positions have been working as a Community Engagement Director for the Multi-Cultural Center in Sioux Falls and working with behavior needs in the Sioux Falls School District.

I have been trained in trauma healing work such as trauma-informed care, restoring the Shattered, the dynamic in understanding dissociative identity disorder, a certified trainer in "The Healing Hands" curriculum for human trafficking victims and Mindfulness and Self-Compassion from the Center of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion.

But more than anything, I have experienced many transitions and losses in my life including more times moving than my fingers and toes can count, many jobs transitions and relationship losses through time and death.  Many celebrations too.  Life, right?

I am a Jesus follower, I love, honor and care about all people from all walks of life, cultures and faiths.  I hope to walk with a variety of people from a diverse faith background.

I understand life's up and downs and twists and turns.  I too have been at my very lowest and  at times at my greatest but I often lacked someone to be that compassionate friend during those times.  I would love to walk with you on your path!
